This particular 289 has dealer added, triple 2-barrel carburetors with correct aluminum tags, a popular upgrade at the time. The engine bay is finished off with a Cobra dress up package including valve covers and air cleaner. Underneath, there’s a rare square cast aluminum oil pan.

Power is transferred through a Toploader 4-speed transmission putting power down through a 9-inch rear end with 3.89 gears and a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential. On all four corners, this Mustang has heavy duty suspension and 14 inch styled steel wheels wrapped in dual Redline tires. Optional facctory disc brakes let you stop just as fast as you accelerate. The exhaust and hoses are all factory NOS parts.
