In 1968, when Chevrolet introduced the restyled Nova, it was like looking at a mini Chevelle. Available with the Super Sport option, the 1969 model would remain much the same. This multiple-award winning 1969 Nova SS is a rare example indeed, equipped with its matching-numbers L78 396/375 HP Turbo-Jet V-8 and painted Dover White with a deluxe blue bench-seat interior. Sold new at Monaghan Chevrolet in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, it’s never left the Pittsburgh area. Featuring a rare column-shifted automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, Delco AM radio and SS wheels with Goodyear red-stripe tires, the car comes with a complete ownership history and a signed affidavit from the original owner attesting to its correct L78 heritage. Restored by Roberts Auto Body and Super Car Workshop, it scored 999 out of 1,000 points at Chevy VetteFest in 2008 and received the Gold Spinner and Diamond Award of Excellence, the Outstanding in Class at World of Wheels in Pittsburgh and was the Restored Class winner 1968-72 at the Nova Nationals.
